Ryan McCoy
Ryan McCoy, MA, Research Analyst, is an educator and researcher with expertise in curriculum design, pedagogy, and STEM education. His work with mixed methods research has provided him with significant experience in research ethics, survey design, focus group facilitation, and data analysis. He is skilled in distilling research findings into clear and actionable insights.
Ryan’s professional background spans both classroom teaching and research. He has taught secondary-level science and mathematics within the Nova Scotia public school system, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support diverse learners. His research experience includes work on STEM innovations in low-income contexts, mindfulness practices to support students in overcoming math and science anxiety, and laboratory research in chemistry, which resulted in a peer-reviewed publication.
Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Pedagogy from the University of Toronto, where he was awarded a Canada Graduate Research Scholarship for his work on mindfulness in education. He also holds a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry from Saint Mary’s University.
